Better Than a Cinderella Story: Once upon a time there was a nursing student who went to Ecuador to help. One day at the pop up med clinic in a remote impoverished village, a female patient was seen. The medical personnel explained to her that the falling-apart sandals she was wearing were contributing to her multiple foot, back & knee ailments. But she was beyond poor & replacing her tattered sandals was unrealistic. However unless she did something to remedy the situation, clearly her conditions would only worsen. The nursing student overheard this exchange & without hesitation quietly removed her own shoes & tried them on the female villager. Unbelievably they were a perfect fit! The woman was beyond grateful, but what was truly incredible was the humility with which the nursing student tiptoed around in her stocking feet the rest of the time and onto her bus to take her back to the hostel where she was staying. So subtly done that few colleagues even noticed. "Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people."
