Better late than never, I suppose! CENECO EXPLAINS UNSCHEDULED POWER INTERRUPTIONS July 25, 2013 at 8:27am Central Negros Electric Cooperative, Inc. (CENECO) consumers under the 69kV Talisay Feeder experienced unscheduled power interruption on July 21, 2013, Sunday due to an automatic trip off of the Power Circuit Breaker (PCB) of the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP). The unexpected activity of NGCP paralyzed its Line 1-100MVA power supply grid resulting to almost two hours and a half power interruption from 11:09AM to 1:23PM, affecting Mt. View Feeders 1 to 4, Burgos Feeders 1 to 3 and the rest of Talisay and Silay City. On the other hand, consumers connected to Mt. View Feeders 3 and 4 experienced unscheduled power interruption on July 22, 2013, Monday. At 2:03PM, CENECO crew identified a line trouble caused by leakage insulators along Agencia Negrense, Barangay Bata. Power was not immediately restored due to another trouble detected along Mt. View Road involving a detached machine bolt supporting the Alley Arm Assembly of the Double Circuit Line. In effect, one of the primary lines hit another machine bolt supporting the Overhead Neutral Line Assembly thus, resulting to short circuit. Power was restored at 9:03PM after the CENECO crew corrected the troubles. Electricity consumers are advised that, in the event of any power interruption, electrical switch/es should be turned-off for safety reasons. When electricity supply resumes, please provide allowance of about 10-15 minutes before switching on all electrical appliances and facilities to avoid power surge. For inquiries, please call your CENECO Call Center at telephone numbers 1621, 709-1256, 709-1257 and 435-3640 to 55 local 259. (SGD.) SULPICIO C. LAGARDE, JR. General Manager
