Between 6 and 10AM it’s The Alan Rock Morning Jazz Extravaganza with me, Alan Rock, a man who once was chosen Poster Child for the National Association of Pathetic Poster Children; only my voice has been changed to protect my tonsils. As usual I’m wearing a leotard and a cape. But because I have a business appointment later this morning – I’m also wearing ballet slippers. Please understand that not every radio show can be superbly wonderful. Today, for example, I’ll be happy if we achieve “moderately wonderful”. Some people think its easy to sit here and spin CDs. But if you dont do it just right, theyll fall right off your finger. The boss says I’m doing so much better he may let me do The Extravaganza without wearing a crash helmet. I never make the same mistakes twice because its so easy to make new ones. In the words of my favorite politician, I know you believe you understood what you think I said, but Im not sure you realize what you heard is not what I meant. I’LL SEE YOU ON THE RADIO!!!
