Between last night, today and tonight I have seen some really good Texas Tempranillos. Due to some scheduling road blocks I missed a really huge and good wine tasting in Houston with my good friend and Texas wine blogger Jeff Cope of Texas Wine Lover. They tasted over 20+ Texas Tempranillos and this event was really one not to miss out on. So my pick out of the wine racks tonight is from Spicewood Vineyards. This 2012 Texas High Plains Tempranillo I tasted a few months back with Bill Burns and my wife Kelli. Everyone keep your eyes open for TX Wine Lovers post on this tasting. I think many will be surprised by the results out of this tasting. The end result is not who won the top vote its really down to the one you liked the most. I am sure even the tasters came up with a surprise that they liked a certain one they might not have liked before. Its about the love of wine, friends and good conversation and fellowship.
