Random thought: Passed by Congress on January 31, 1865, and ratified on December 6, 1865, the 13th amendment abolished slavery in the United States. Since the abolition of slavery, Ive seen photos documented as late as the 1950s of black people being lynched. Hung from trees with people standing around them and some smiling and posing with deceased man hanging from tree. To my knowledge and little research, any lynching that occurred after December 6, 1865 is considered murder. Webster defines murder as: the unlawful premeditated killing of one human being by another. Also I discovered that the United States does not have a statute of limitations on murder or kidnapping. So with all that being said, I wonder have the police interviewed the individuals in those photos and tried to make an arrest in those cases. Its photo evidence of a crime. Ive seen the show Cold Case and I assume its some type of department like that in the US government. One that can bring such criminals to justice...Just my thought.
