Between the Offender the Offended... September 29, 2012 at 10:43am Pastors Pulpit sEction: One of the spirits of this very approaching Christmas is forgiveness. But let me add on something thing about IT. Forgiveness should be served and given to the offender kahit di pa ito nahingi ng patawad. But we need to make offender aware about our intentions to forgive him. There are two biblical parties with regards of forgiveness as follows: 1. The offender. Bible tells us in Matthew 5:23-24 that before he will offer things in the temple he should go to his brother or sister who has something against him. The point is that God will not accept his worship unless he will reconcile to the offended brother or sister in Christ. So its best thing to do is to reconcile muna. - This is the reason why Pharisees had been called hypocrite by our Lord Jesus. These Pharisees were just concerned about external act of worship and not on internal mind. Kanya madami sa kanila na akala nila nakakalugod ang pagsamba nila kasi nga more on external acts of worship ang ginagawa nila kahit meron silang problema sa mga ka Hudyo nila. - So, if we worship God, but we disregard na meron tayong ka grudge or kaalit na kapatid, FIRST, hindi iho-honor ng Dios ito. SECOND, ang worship ay hindi magiging katanggap tanggap sa Kanya. - Di tayo perfect but we can be good worshiper by following what God wants us to do. - If ever na di tanggapin ng offended ang approach mo, at di ka niya patawarin, ANG MAHALAGA you did the right thing. At ang Dios na bahala sa taong hindi nagpatwad. 2. The Offended. The Bible tells us in Matthew 6:14-15 na ang pagpapatawad ay required and commanded sa atin ng Dios. This is just one of the absolutes of God na applicable at all times, at all places and at all people. - Kapag di tayo magpapatawad sabi ng mga Talata, our God will also not forgive us. - Kaiba ang forgiveness sa trust. Maaring mawala ang trust sa isang taong naka offend sa atin but it does not qualify us na HINDI TAYO NA MAGPAPATAWAD. - What really matters is that our hearts. - Kailan man ang wrong doing from offender ay hindi ito mabubura sa back of the head natin which is our brain, kasi forever na nasa memory nating. BUT IF WE REALLY FORGIVE ANG ISAN TAO, KAHIT MAAALALA PA NG ISIP NATIN, PERO PAGDATING NITO SA PUSO NATIN AY WALA NA, NAKALIMUTAN NA, ALA NA MARAMDAMAN. We are no longer hold it against to the offender. Ganun nagagawa ng genuine forgiveness. Jesus once said: ... forgive from the heart... Tuwiran kong sasabihin, and Dios ang offended party PERO SIYA PARIN ANG LUMAPIT SA OFFENDER at tayo iyon. John 3:16 sinsasabi na GOD SENT His Son... this means na Siya ang lumapit sa nagkasala, sa lawbreaker, sa lawless in heart, sa offender.... - IN THE SAME MANNER, kapag may nagkasala sa atin, una ready tayo magpatawad at tayo ang lalapit na pinapatwad natin. Sa II Cor. 2:7-8 na pag nagkasala, WE FORGIVE... WE COMFORT... WE REAFFIRM OUR LOVE TO a brother or sister.....
