Beware of Zambian Politics of the Belly - Wamu wa Namusunga Coming out of the cycles, yes prison of lies, poverty and slavery is the sure way for Barotseland. The road may be rough and not so clear in the eyes of many. Indeed, the masses and untrue patriots ‘see men as trees walking’, the vision of the status and future is so blared, all they need is a second touch which of course soon they will have to feel. The start of prosperity of any nation lies in the strength of its Governance systems and political engagements. The realistic approach to good governance, a result of political freedom, rights and issue based attacks sustain a nation. In our struggle for self-rule many will stay aside to wait for success and jump on the wagon. A state always, I feel is acceptable but not so desired. Yet others realize the need to join the struggle but perceive self benefit. This is the type of politics in Zambia. This is the Politics of the belly. Their need to fight is necessitated by self interest and not the people. Much of the conflicts and cold indifference that we see in Governance is the result of having two groups of parallel thoughts. Those who see the need to free the people of Barotseland and those who see the need for such but aim for positions and fame (self interest). In any case, fighting for total freedom will always have such, especially the third group who pretend to be on your side yet not. This is the most cruel and vicious group that our able intelligence need to watch. They dress like us, talk like us, even dance like us but not for us. The appeal of this write up is to appeal to all citizens of Barotseland to refrain, and totally refuse, to participate in the Zambian politics, whether ruling party or opposition party. The best one would do is to initiate and register your party for Barotseland in Barotseland. The Barotseland governance system is so democratic. Many may argue this fact but remember that the role of the care taker Government is to usher us into the promised land, and sometimes they may not consult any one when working in good faith for the people of Barotseland for some reasons stated above. Not everyone can be trusted. I finally say, let the Afumba Mombotwa led Government work and be supported. Yes, we may have different opinions but those opinions should be to strengthen the struggle. If old people like Sikota wina and others want to sit, wait and do nothing let it be so. We call for many, the likes of Mr. Wina, to watch, wait and say nothing, (mukuze muli tuuuuuu!) and beg no gold from Zambia to frustrate the Barotseland Government. We have; 1. One flag 2. One court of arms 3. One National Anthem 4. One King 5. One People of Barotseland. IN GOD WILL ALWAYS TRUST. by Wamu wa Namusunga
