Bhalla assures to continue spree of development in Gandhi Nagar constituency JAMMU: Former Minister, two times MLA and senior Congress leader Raman Bhalla said that the Congress had replaced the hopelessness in the State with holistic development, and assured that the spree of development in the Gandhi Nagar constituency will continue with same speed as it was in the past. Congress is committed for the equitable development of all three regions of J&K State, he said, adding that the people of the whole State witnessed unimaginable growth and development of this state during Congress regime. He stated that Congress Government ensured that all regions and sections of the society were treated with equity, fairness and justice. “During the period of this party, the country and State has progressed steadfastly in all sectors”, Bhalla said, adding that the party has multi-pronged planning and strategy to deal with the issues of unemployment, poverty and upliftment of weaker sections of the society. The programmes and policies of the Congress party are people friendly and millions of poor people have availed benefits of these schemes”, he added. Former Minister stated this while addressing series of corner meetings in Bhatindi area of the Gandhi Nagar constituency. He expressed gratitude to the electorates, who polled their vote in his favour. Apart from creating unthinkable infrastructural facilities across Jammu and Kashmir, Congress continued the spree of growth and development, whether it was creation of new administrative units, opening of health centres, new ITI, polytechnic, degree colleges and upgradation of various high and higher secondary schools, Bhalla added. He added that the creation of new administrative units brought enormous comfort and respite to the people who earlier had to travel long distances for reaching out to authorities for getting their petty works done. We have to stick together and breach new frontiers of development and progress and be assets for each other. Some of the decisive forces, who are trying to fragment us and divide people for their own political interests are enemies of this State and its future generation”, he said. “Congress made development as a narrative and discourse in the State, and dispersed the fruits of development beyond the confines,” former Minister said, adding that Congress had vision of a vibrant, progressive and united Jammu and Kashmir. We amply demonstrated to the people of the State how big projects can be executed in the shortest possible time. It is this mantra of development and good governance, which we are presenting to the people of the state for seeking fresh and decisive mandate, Mr Bhalla added
