Bhatkals squandered Rs 5 crore paid by ISI, Pakistan’s secret intelligence agency ISI has pulled the plug on Indian Mujahideen’s covert financing after the terrorist outfit allegedly squandered Rs 5 crore meant for logistical expenses to carry out terror strikes on Indian soil. IM co-founder Yasin Bhatkal told the interrogators that ISI officers mounted pressure on Riyaz and Iqbal Bhatkal to return the amount after they failed to provide expenditure details of terror financing earlier this year. “Yasin Bhatkal told the interrogators that Riyaz and Iqbal were manhandled by the ISI officials and this particular incident caused a rift between IM top leaders and their ISI handlers. Bhatkal also confirmed that the ISI has decided to put a leash on IM activities in India and now the modules take prior permission from ISI before carry out terror strikes. Bhatkal said the ISI was more worried about money now and is squeezing financial aid to the Indian Mujahideen,” sources said. Bhatkal also revealed shocking details of widening rift between the ISI and Indian Mujahideen. Yasin Bhatkal told the interrogators that Amir Reza Khan alias Pervez, responsible for American centre attack in Kolkata in 2002, is now running a small shop in Karachi to earn for his living. The NIA had announced `10 lakh bounty on Khan for any information leading to his arrest. The Interpol in 2002 had issued red corner notice against Khan for cases related to kidnapping and criminal conspiracy. Terrorist had formed Asif Raza Commando Force after the death of his brother and encouraged Bhatkal brothers to raise Indian Mujahideen by recruiting SIMI cadre into its fold. Reza Khan initially provided funds and arranged Nepal route for IM module’s training in Pakistan.
