Bhutan: 16th most peaceful country Friday, 20 Jun 2014 01:44 Bhutan jumped 91 places since 2012 to become 16th place in the latest Global Peace Index (GPI) rank for most peaceful country in the world. While Iceland, Denmark and Austria made up the top three most peaceful countries in the world, Bhutan is the second most peaceful Asian nation after Japan and No. 1 peacuful nation in South Asia as per the GPI. The first 28 countries are ranked as having a “very high” state of peace.
