Bible study tonight with “Words of Affirmation” from the book: THE 5 LOVE LANGUAGES by Gary Chapman Proverbs 18:21 - Death and life are in the power of the tongue 12:18 - reckless words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing. 15:4 - The tongue that brings healing is a tree of life, but a deceitful tongue crushes the spirit. 1 Corinthians 13:4 - love is kind Proverbs 15:4 - a soft answer turns away wrath, But a harsh word stirs up anger. People usually interpret our messages based in our tone of voice, not the words we use. Love makes requests, not demands. Think of what would happen in the world if all of us started praising each other for accomplishments rather that pointing out what was wrong. The thing Im always telling the people in my life is “its not what you say it how you say it”. - my (Pelé) quote, lol. Luke 6:45 - A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and evil out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil.
