BibleEtcJanuary302014 I am committed daily to reading daily from the Old Testament; also from the New; something from the Qur’an; and a hadith. And, I am posting daily comments on Facebook. Yesterday I got in my exercises, but not my Bible and other readings. OT from a Bible Survey I had put together, with twelve sessions for a Muslim/Christian group. I Samuel 16:1-12 The LORD no longer wants Saul as King. He sends Samuel to Bethlehem to anoint as King one of the sons of Jesse. God chooses the youngest, David. God does not judge as man does, but looks at the inward heart. Matthew 6:16-24 When you fast, wash your face so you do not appear to be fasting. Don’t store up treasures on earth; your heart will follow what you value. The eye, like a lamp, gives light within the body. Watch what you see. You can only serve ONE master. Quran. 3. Verses 159-163 God shows mercy as He will. It is inconceivable that a prophet would take It is inconceivable that a prophet would take something dishonestly from battle gains. Hadith. Sahib al Bukhari. Book 2/ Chapter 33/ verse 46 Page 75 Two were arguing and interrupted Mohammed’s thoughts. Anyway, the 7th, 9th, and 5th to the last nights of Ramadan wound up being the “nights of the decree.” Weight on home scale. 255# (three pounds less than yesterday and a new low for recent years.) I am now 35# under my gross maximum of 290# and still have 88# of fat and blubber to lose on the way down to 167#. I am watching what I eat, but I do allow myself a smidge of leeway so I can enjoy life. My weight will be 217 or lower on Jan 1, 2015, and at some point after that 167. I have people joining me in the Royal Canadian Air Force exercises 5 B X. Good luck! Persistence is the key. Exercise 7th day on level C- of chart one on Royal Canadian Air Force 5BX. Seven minutes today. This little bit of exercise is giving me sore muscles.
