A Parramatta Council spokeswoman said about 150 people, primarily descendants, would attend the invitation only bicentenary event on the site where the Native Institute was once located. More than 200 years since an Aboriginal girl named Maria left her home at Hawkesbury, the removal of Aboriginal children from their families will be remembered by their descendants. parramattasun.au/story/2806910/bicentenary-event-for-first-stolen-children/
