Big Girl Panty Realities: 1) Using the ironing board is, sadly, necessary. The dryer doesnt do creases. 2) What the heart wants should only be considered when u have the luxury of free time (unfolded laundry does in fact count against free time availability so essentially I should have free time again in about 2017). 3) Animals absolutely count when people ask if u spend all of ur time alone or with ur children....species of whom u r spending ur time with should never be disclosed. 4) Studying to improve ur circumstances should never be put of to another day (or another hour so u can update ur fb status)....I am still mastering this one. 5) When u realize that ur daughter sleeps in ur bed not because she is scared to sleep alone but so that U dont feel abandoned-keep that to urself....otherwise u will be left sleeping alone and find urself stalking ur sleeping children like u did when they were infants (or so I have heard..........) 6) Never fall for the one drink promise ur friends make to get u out. Its a trick and u will spend two days recovering....as my recent absence from all social events that involve drinking is a testament to. 7) When ur 14 year old daughter wants a new swimsuit dont allow grandma to purchase one from the internet. Instead; make them go swimsuit shopping with their dad and grandpa (I have yet to use this one since coming up with it but this yrs lesson will require this to be implemented every year moving forward)....Brenda Williams Leino 8) Never exercise with an exercise nazi....they dont care that u will have to roll out of bed and crawl to the bathroom the next day....in fact; the thought that u will have to prob makes them giddy. 9) Dont allow ur teenager talk u into a horror movie when u r already having trouble sleeping....she will require u to check all closets and closed rooms 25 times a night. 10) Always remember that not everyone lives under the policy of treat others as u want to be treated but u shouldnt let that alter what u do. Always be kind, be generous when needed, and most importantly: be u!
