Big Johns... What can I tell ya about Big Johns... I could tell ya that I met my whole band there... I could tell ya about the first night I met Gene, and he was wearing snakeskin shoes, and we jammed together on the fly and brought the roof down... I could tell ya about being there in the dead heat of summer, at 2AM and engaging in some of the greatest jams Ive ever been a part of... I could tell ya about Johnny Keys and how hard he worked... I could tell ya about Freddy, Gene, and I sitting on the back of his pickup and watching the sun rise, still wide eyed from aforementioned jams... I could tell ya how I watched Scott Newton write autographs and hand them out pretending to be a celebrity... I could tell ya about Cass, and her legendary Bingo games... I could tell ya how we filmed the video for Always Be Your Man there, and how we had to hide all the Halloween decorations... I could tell ya how we played there every Paddys day for 5 years, including this past year, and how my mother called me up, while sick with cancer, and said Happy Paddys Day, Bri! Are ya playing Big Johns?... I could tell ya about the amount of songs I wrote, or about the other ones in my head that it inspired... I could tell ya about my 40th birthday party, and a midget Elvis... I could tell ya about the amount of wonderful friends I met there... Or I could just tell you that I love the place and Ill miss it very, very, much... Yeah... Lets go with that... Thank you, Tracey...
