Big blue knows the road to Summer Bay on its own by now... Had a very busy arvo working with the Nelson Bay junior girls 12s, 14s & 16s to assist them with their prep for the Jnr rep season :) I had a ball with the 12s working on dominant midfield defence & the transition into line defence technique & body position as well as some passing & game sense 2 on 1 & 2 on 2 grids :) Awesome bunch of kids who impressed in their first session w me w their wonderful attitude towards learning new aspects of the game :) The 14s & 16s were cheering today w an easier fitness set today w many heading up to Port for Snr State Cup this weekend we went w a lighter, short & sharp fitness sesh followed up by some agility & a focus on static attacking skills around quickie technique & sequences. Finished off w a super competitive game of numbers touch where the girls worked on playing what was in front of them & even threw in their newly acquired quickie plays & slidey dives to score some tdowns which meant a happy meeting of minds between the technique grids & the game sense mini game w the kids demonstrating a great understanding of the appropriate application of the skill for the game situation :) Was great fun today w such great kids & coaches who really love the game & get you excited about the process :) #touchheads#summerbay#getlow&gogogo ;)
