Big thumbs up to the Beech Mountain Fire Department volunteers. Yes, they do still rescue cats from trees...or rather drain pipes! They brought a little black feral kitten who was lodged in a 3 drain pipe. They had to cut PVC pipe down to the ground level to be able to get their arm in to pull the freezing little girl out. It took an hour to warm her up with a hair drier. Poor baby was ice cold and covered in mud. Shes now a hissing biting little feral on antibiotics. Shell need a little TLC to improve her temperament!
