Typically candid, Katy talks about the speculation that she was hooking up with Robert Pattinson and reveals that she reached out to Kristen Stewart around that time to assure her that she wasn’t violating Girl Code: “I sent (Stewart) a text message saying: ‘I know you’ve seen all this stuff but you know I would never disrespect you. I’m not that person. I’m just trying to be a friend to him but it is unfortunate that I do have a set of tits.’” You can imagine how the Twi-Hards must be feeling. Because this is pretty much confirmation from inside that Stewart and Pattinson are done. And all the while they thought maybe, maybe all the reporting about it was wrong. As for Kristen Stewart, she’s been photographed the last few days out with a new dog. A puppy, they’re saying. New one apparently? I’m not an expert on her dog situation so I can’t say whether or not that’s legit but s/he certainly looks gangly and young. Unfortunately it’s not the dog that’s making news here. Unfortunately it’s her attitude again. The paps can be gross, no doubt. They were gross when they did that to her car a few weeks ago. But … it’s a poor choice of words, non? “You don’t deserve to breathe the same air I do” isn’t the best choice of words for someone whose job is to engage the media, all aspects of the media. Can you use the paps to your advantage one day and then claim to want to have nothing to do with them the next? It’s a blurry line. As I always say about the current Celebrity Ecosystem, every component is essential. The publicist, the agent, the fan, and even the paparazzi. They exist to feed each other. I don’t care, he’s a scumbag, says the hardcore Kristen Stewart fan. As a fan, there may be some stars you like, and some stars you don’t like. As a star, there may be some photographers you like, and some photographers you don’t like. But by and large, those photographers deliver what you want to see. So, if we’re throwing around blame, you may as well spread it around. Or maybe Kristen Stewart can work on acclimating to the situation. Can we talk about the dog now? Or, can I use this opportunity to talk about mine? They endured 3 days in the backseat and are now “home”. Barney is very distressed about this. Look at him this morning. This is not my neighbourhood. Why is this happening to me?
