Bill and I took the day yesterday and did some winter hiking up Coal Canyon of The Little Book Cliffs….temps were cold and the breeze was brisk…especially on the upper ridges where we ended up exploring…but we had a great day and the climb up the side of the canyon was well worth the effort!….not only did the uphill climbing keep us warmer, we discovered a hiding little band of horses way up in an upper canyon pocket we would have never seen if we would have stayed on the bottom.
