Bill says we must call it a day, and hit the hay! Its been a great birthday. Who would think you could have this much pleasure at age 76? Started out our morning in Little Rock with a couple hours of smiling, cooing, fake coughing, and tall tales told by our only great granddaugher who is 3.5 months old. What a joy she is and what gracious hosts Sam and Amy are! Then Bill drove us back to League City while I enjoyed messages from friends far and near. For this old gal born into a poor farm family who spent most of my life in a small town in the middle of the country, I am blessed beyond measure with friends over much of the world including several continents that Ive heard from today. I am moved almost to tears many times from messages and thinking what these fine people mean to me and the good times weve had or meaningful experiences shared. When we arrived home in TX, that cute Susie greeted us with an amazing gift from she and Blaine. So guess who is going to be learning to use her new Sous Vide cooker with the detailed instructions and recipes? Im not counting on becoming an accomplished French chef, but think its going to be fun to take this one one. Thanks to everyone who helped make this the best of birthdays!
