Bill wanted to go to TooJays, he had a coupon and was hungry for liver & onions. I ordered the Beef Brisket Platter with Potato Latkes. Bill ate all of his dinner, but I needed a carry out container for most of mine. I carefully arranged my Potato Latke topped with Beef Brisket and placed the fresh green beans to the side. I wondered at the time why I was being so careful that it looked eye appealing? We closed the restaurant down after 9:00p.m., walking past some other diners leaving TooJays. I walked towards the parking lot looking up at the sliver of a moon hazed over with clouds. Noticed to a short man walking briskly. As he approached me in the dark night, I thought, He looks like a little leprechaun! He had a bushy reddish beard, mustache and thick curly hair. Looked too as if he had a shillelagh, as well as a bulky backpack. I smiled at him and said Hello. He walked briskly past me but said Hello Miss, he turns, still walking backwards, and faces me, Madam by chance would you like to share your leftovers? I said I would. I walk over to him and hand him my container while describing my most delightful meal. Beef Brisket with Potato Latkes, and green beans. He takes my container and said, AWWWWWWW That sounds Heavenly! I said, Enjoy. Thank you Miss. He looks up again, You are sure? I nod and slide into my car as he walks away in quick strides. Part of me wanted to ask, Are you well, do you need some cash? I didnt, he had not begged for money, but I have a feeling he would have been most charming and entertaining. I had wished we had passed by earlier, and I would have asked him to join us for dinner. I pray he will be well and safe
