Identified under death/ thrash metal genre, theirs is one of the heaviest metal bands of the country. Bands like Slayer, Black Sabbath and other metal band have the authority of their diverse musicality. Composing Bloodshedd is five gifted individuals, never afraid to expose their true feelings and passions. After series of line-up changes, current members are Jojo Book(from Penetralia) on vocals, Bong Ecat (from MindHeartblood) and Bike Buick Vinas (from Humble Sauce) on guitars, Bike is now replaced by Darwin Venus (from Anhura) on guitars, Mc Santiago (from Katoliko) on bass and Toots Book the original founding member on drums. Bloodshedd started being serious on June 1996, bearing the logo ”696” month and year (06/96) because of its date of birth. Initially, they called themselves “Bloodshed” until it became “Blood-Shedd”. Now, they decided to make it in their present-name, Bloodshedd. It all started by playing gigs at Club Dredd (cubao), Yosh Cafe (pasay), other Bars around manila and underground gigs.... Like any other bands, Bloodshedd had undergone several trials and struggles before achieving its dream. Aside from numerous line-up changes, they have struggled to grab a wholesome gig and produce original material on disc. Making “anger” their inspiration, Bloodshedd is not there to solve any society problems. Their only concern is to “present” those problems through music. Sticking to their unique style of death/thrash, they can write almost everything freely from society problems to human behaviors. Violence, war, anger, hatred, anti-religion and politics are of course included for most death-thrash genre deals with anti-religion. Bloodshedd is for them, therapeutic in some way, an outlet. Most of them or all of them have their daytime jobs, and only through their passion which is playing and performing, they can express them selves. Starting and recognized for their cover songs from old school Thrash and Death Metal Bands like Slayer, Sodom, Destruction, Sepultura, At The Gates... etc., they finally came to the point of making original compositions and release an album at sometime of 2003, but it took a couple of years to complete due to personal schedules and to find a decent good quality recording studio, and finally their debut album came out in 2007 in the form of "Eye Of The Pessimist" On its tenth year Anniversary on June 2006 that was held at Gratitude Bar near BLOODSHEDD HQ, Bloodshedd released a demo-cd, containing 2 tracks, Dearborn and Relentless. This 2-song demo is just a glimpse of the full-length album and how it will sound like. Due to schedule conflict, recording process was stop and go. At the neck of the time, the album “696” became “Eye of the Pessimist” as suggested by a member of the band Cog. This debut full-length album contained 10 tracks. Song, Dearborn and Relentless were also included in the album. "Eye of the Pessimist" was released on 2007 under the label, Tower of Doom Records. So far, it is one of the most impressive local metal releases and ranks as one of the best year’s release, then followed by their 2nd Album "Spare No One" on late 2009...
