Bio of Kris Johnson, former Wildcat baseball player now playing for the Pittsburgh Pirates! Johnson #6, was 1st Team All State 2002 and 2003. He went 8-1 with 0.83 ERA and 96 Ks in 59 innings his senior season. He also pitched 4 No Hitters that year. Johnson went to Wichita State University 2004-2006 with a 16-2 won/loss record, 2.39 ERA, and 130 K’s in 140 Innings. In the 2006 Draft, he was the 40th Overall Pick by Boston Red Sox and stayed with the Red Sox Organization from 2006-2010. In 2011, he joined the Kansas City T– Bones and later in 2011, was signed by Pittsburgh Pirates. His MLB debut was on August 18, 2013 vs. the Arizona Diamondbacks. In 6 innings, he allowed 2 runs in relief.
