Biorhythms for Alabama-Birmingham game. North Carolina (4-1) vs. UAB (5-2) Birmingham, Ala. -- Bartow Arena Sunday, 6 p.m. FS1 (Adam Alexander, Dan Bonner) UNC Tar Heels Paige P = 85, E = 0, I = 5, M = 45 Johnson P = 30, E = 65, I = 70, M = 50 McAdoo P = 50, E = 5, I = 80, M = 65 James P = 90, E = 60, I = 0, M = 45 Britt P = 0, E = 90, I = 65, M = 30 Tokoto P = 35, E = 10, I = 5, M = 20 Simmons P = 10, E = 75, I = 85, M = 40 Meeks P = 15, E = 50, I = 100, M = 55 Hicks P = 85, E = 50, I = 100, M = 90 Davis P = 5, E = 75, I = 5, M = 5 Hubert P = 45, E = 15, I = 10, M = 25 Coach Wisdom = 75 UAB Blazers Washington P = 45, E = 5, I = 5, M = 25 Rucker P = 95, E = 0, I = 5, M = 50 Alihodzic P = 85, E = 25, I = 20, M = 50 Frazier P = 15, E = 40, I = 55, M = 35 Swing P = 40, E = 40, I = 5, M = 20 Williams P = 80, E = 10, I = 15, M = 45 Mehinti P = 75, E = 40, I = 5, M = 40 Purifoy P = 80, E = 90, I = 85, M = 80 Watts P = 10, E = 20, I = 0, M = 5 Haase Wisdom = 65 Frontcourt: James Michael McAdoo is primed physically and intellectually for a return to the land of double double today while Brice Johnson appears ready to maintain his pace of late. A powerful but rather dull James mans the paint with a Mensa Member Meeks for this contest. Rounding out that crew is another pair of brainy inside players in Hicks (who is also sporting an all around impressive set of arcs) and Simmons. Desmond Hubert brings unremarkable marks to the court. Backcourt and Wings: (Should McAdoo be listed here now?) Nate Britt has intellect on his side but appears physically flat. He is also sky-high emotionally. Marcus Paige is physically primed for a solid game but beware of a flagged spirit and dull wits. Tokoto is below middlin across the board. Luke Davis drops below even that. Overall: UAB is a rebounding team. Though not large (though they have a 6’10” Bosnian brute in the pivot and a 6’8” forward) the Blazers hit the boards hard. “Small” forward Rod Rucker has already pulled 20 rebs in a single game once this season. He is 6’5”. He also has a super P = Arc. Alihodzic the Bosnian Senior (born in the decade of the 1980s, so he’s also old) has a solid P = Arc as well. Budding star and Charlotte native, Chad Frazier has down marks but don’t underestimate the potential of a player passed over in recruiting to come back and haunt. Jordan Swing is a big guard who has been a scorer until this season. He may be a ticking time bomb though his arcs don’t indicate such a thing today. The Tar Heels have some good looks in McAdoo, Johnson’s overalls and Paige and James’ physical promise. There is also a lot of smarts in the front line with Meeks leading the way there. This could be Hicks’ first truly solid game of the year. If McAdoo moves to the Three Position that does open up more time for Hicks. UAB likely knows our plays as well, if not better, than we do. Haase brings a Williams/Carolina philosophy to the court. He has a squad of JUCO journeymen who have logged many minutes and play a rugged game. If Carolina flinches it could spell trouble. James and Paige’s high Physical arcs are encouraging and McAdoo has a 50 there as well (though he tends to shy from contact as a rule). Nate Britt appears to have buoyed spirits to propel him to continue his pre-Thanksgiving floor game. Smart and firey, Brice Johnson may again be the stand-out paint man. But if the Heels let the Blazers crash the boards it will be a sad day and of course that is often the challenge of playing zone…blocking out. Hicks, Meeks, James and Johnson all look to have the potential to go to the ball. They must for Carolina to come out of Alabama with a win. This game has the potential to be close. Gut check Carolina. Win by 3.
