Birdman is one of the most talked about movies of the year. From the odd trailer to the awards talk it has been on my radar almost all year. The film is one that I think stresses multiple viewings and I cant wait to dive into it again but this first time you are in the world of theater through the head of Michael Keatens actor that is washed up and trying to make a comeback. His psyche is very broken and the film is directed to utter perfection the whole film is made to be one shot the camera never seems to stop and you feel like a part of this world. If the unique direction isnt enough the characters and plot are very meta and and commentary on film and criticism. I dont agree with some of the themes, I completely enjoy seeing the version the movie presents. I have only been a few hours away from the movie and the ending and themes are still revolving in my mind and I have started to love it even more. I highly recommend this movie. Grade: A
