“Birds of a feather flock together.” Remember that saying? - TopicsExpress

“Birds of a feather flock together.” Remember that saying? It’s so true. I don’t understand why things happen that way. Someone who’s a good person starts hanging around someone who’s not a good influence, and guess what? The good person starts to be of bad character. All they may have wanted to do was go into the bad situation to try and make it better, but instead they get drug down. The badness usually always rubs off — very seldom does the goodness! I think it may be because in ourselves, we’re not strong enough to ward off the enemy. We always need to stay on guard. Never lose sight of God — not even for one second. The devil is very sly. We should always watch the people we are with. Jesus was able to hang around with bad characters and not fall into the circumstances, but don’t forget, He was perfect. As followers of Christ, we should take the advice in Romans 12:2. It says, “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is — His good, pleasing and perfect will.” We should strive for that in our lives. “Be imitators of God,” Ephesians 5:1. It doesn’t matter how old or young we are, we can be pulled into another way of living, of believing, even though we realize what’s right and wrong. We need to be strong in our dilemmas. One way for us to do that is for us to hang around with Jesus. Keep your eyes on Him. At all times, praise Him. When we do that, something takes place in us and we become stronger and more like Him in our actions, thoughts, deeds, and understanding. You are special!
