Birds of a feather sing warnings together... that People had better do quite alot to Cool Down the Pot! No longer is the Canary in the Coal-mine the only harbinger of danger. Our surface environment is so utterly degraded that many of our most common birds are in serious and rapid decline. Too many people dont perceive this environmental degradation or the decline in bird populations. Whether it is willful blindness or just that so many live an environmentally dark existence... the fact remains that warnings are all around us. Too many people are not responding to the increasingly inhospitable living conditions developing all around us. Too many people are behaving like the proverbial frog-in-a-boiling pot. As the heat rises, the unsuspecting boiling-pot frog apathetically floats, inactive, in an environment of impending doom. A goggle-eyed blank or defiant stare disappears into the bowels of the cauldron as the once comfortable, but now steaming, water erupts into a violent boil.
