Bishop Margaret Wanjiru was promised a direct nomination by Cord, as an enticement to let go her claim for Women Rep position. After elections she was dumped. Too bitter, Wanjiru has decided to hit back at the party.She has ensured that her son Steve Kariuki has won the Mathare seat on Cord ticket and immediately after being declared winner the young man says he will work with the Jubilee government. If that happens, Cord will be free to take measures including kicking him out of the party and precipitating another by-election. Now, noone wants such a by-election in Mathare. So for now Kariuki is holding the yam and the knife.
