BismillahirRahmanirRahim The Sahabi e-kiram, they gave high honour to the Holy Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wa aalihi wa sallam). Holy Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wa aalihi wa sallam), when he cut his hair or his fingernails, he did not cut them and just put them away. Never. Whenever he cuts, all the sahabi e-kiram, they are rushing to get maybe just one hair, that holy hair of the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wa aalihi wa sallam). Whenever he made the wudhu, never he throws away the water but they come and they take the water, they drink it, they keep it. This is Mubarak. This is Haqq. This is Mubarak, this is clean, this is pure, this is Holy. The tradition of loving the hair of the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wa aalihi wa sallam), they are saying that it’s a bida’at, then they are calling Khalid ibn Walid, ahlil Bida’at. Who dare to say that? Of course this foolish wahabbis, they are daring to say that. Definitely. Because Khalid ibn Walid when he was fighting a war against the Byzantines, the Christians, he had one hair of the Holy Prophet (asws) that he said, ‘this hair is more precious to me than my family, than everything I own, than this whole world.’ And he was putting that Mubarak hair onto his helmet and he went to war. When he was fighting with the enemy, his helmet got knocked off and it fell to the ground with the hair of the Holy Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wa aalihi wa sallam). He did not care for his life. He didn’t say, ‘let me finish with the enemy first.’ Instead, he rushed towards that hair, to save it not for it to fall down. He took it, he kissed it, putting himself, putting all his soldiers, putting the whole war to jeopardy because he is their leader, if they cut their leader then the whole troop is going to fall away. He did not care for that. He stopped fighting and he rushed, and he picked up that Holy Hair and put it back on. Because of that respect, he won the war. Because of the disrespect that the Muslims have these days towards Holy Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wa aalihi wa sallam), they will never succeed. We are not succeeding. Don’t say that we are succeeding. Don’t say, just because we have more money and more technology and more book knowledge, we are succeeding. No, we are not. Don’t say just because we are now two billion, three billion, four billion, doesn’t matter if there’s seven billion muslims that we are succeeding. No. it is not with the form, it is not with the numbers, it is where the spirit of Islam. The spirit of Islam is the Holy Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wa aalihi wa sallam). IF you don’t have that, you can have the whole world, It’s no good for nothing. We have two billion Muslim, with all their resources, is under the feet of the enemies of Islam. Because they don’t love and they don’t show respect to that Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wa aalihi wa sallam). Edep, it is the essence of Tarikat, it is the essence of Islam, to show highest respect. If you lose your respect, that time you may lose everything. Now, when we have that, it does not matter what kind of person you are; rich one or poor one. It doesn’t matter if you are black or white or yellow or green. It doesn’t matter if you know or you don’t know, because everyone understands edep, how to give respect. - Hoja Lokman Effendi Hz
