Bit o Red boss John Coleman said he is excited about the challenge of taking on FK Banga in the first round first leg Europa League clash in Lithuania. Rovers were drawn with Banga in this mornings draw. The return leg will take place in The Showgrounds on Thursday 10 July with a likely 7pm kick-off. Coleman said: Its difficult to immediately gauge the level of opposition you face. Now that we know we can look into FK Banga and what to expect. My focus is on preparing as best we can, finding out what we can about the opposition but most of all on what were going to do. We wont go there looking for a scoreless draw. I want to go there and win because it will give us a tremendous chance of getting to the next round. On a potential difficult trip logistically and in just 10 days time: You expect that. Its one of the challenges you face in European football and well have to overcome that. Im led to believe they play on an artificial surface. We have our 4G pitch here in Sligo that we sometimes train on so we know what to expect. European football is one of the reasons I came here. The players will be able to have no fear in this game and we want to advance further in the competition. The club are continuing to look into travel arrangements for the game and will provide an update as soon as possible. Tickets for the home leg are available here: sligorovers/shop/category/tickets
