Bit of a temper there....we are never going to know whats really in his mind. He puts up such a front most of the time that we have no idea what is in his mind, we can only go by his final actions. He capitulates to capital nearly every single time and his administration has frankly been worse to the environment than Bush. If you care about Global Warming/Climate Change, why on Earth establish this policy of all of the above renewable energy sources plus frack for as much oil and gas as possible so the United States will have so-called Energy Indepence for the Next Century, which by the way is false..the fracked wellls decrease in productivity by 70% in one year. Hes so right of center that the opposition party loves many of his policies, and to regain power, the Republicans have to call their own policies socialist and pretty much avoid talking about any real issue, instead, making up scandals...one so-called scandal after another and raise funds off of these issues. You can buy a Benghazi Watchdog hand bag or helium balloon while contributing to their campaign funds. He has been a gift to corporate America. He raises the top tax bracket a scant few percent, and some of the rich go absolutely nuts...and they end up paying a lower 15% tax rate on average because most of their income is from portfolios and can be treated as capital gains. Their appears to be a liberal spirit in his rhetoric, and he then goes off and finds a so-called compromised solution. A compromised solution would make sense if he was actively making deals with the Republicans, but he is not. The Republicans make it clear they will not do a dam thing...and boy does it show. In total number of bills passed, House Speaker John Boehners Congress has been the least productive Congress in the entire history of the country..and that is not an exaggeration. My point here is that the Republicans dont move on anything, and he comes up with compromised plans on everything when those compromises are not even ask for. Mainly because it appears that is what really suits his ideology. I think basically, he believes in a number of terrible conservative ideas and perceives them through liberal values. In essence, that is what neo-liberalism does...market ideas supposedly liberating the market. He himself knew full well we had a financial crisis that was the worse since the Great Depression....he could have redone a New Deal....bring back the WPA, the Workers Progress Administration and create jobs...we did it before. However, he bought into this terrible neoliberal capitalism which is government spending meant to buoy key institutional structures and aid in profit growth by further incrementally weaken labor and the result is terrible. Then he parades in front of Wal-Mart and Amazon warehouses stating those are the future job creators to strengthen the middle class...Oh, if only we could raise the minimum wage. Are you kidding me? He wants college education for everyone that is willing to bear a debt load that will prevent most students from buying a home, assuming they will find a decent paying job. Meanwhile, elders have to use reverse mortgages...the end result of this is that the next generation will not be inheriting homes from their parents like prior generations have, and that is another step down for the middle class. He wants economic free zones here and there throughout the country to encourage growth...of course besides establishing organizations to work with the needs of the communities, job growth is to be encourage by yet having such areas have lower tax rates. This is failed policy on a local level mixed in with a smattering of liberal values. Outside of establishing the Affordable Health Care Reform Act, which is very important, he hasnt really done much to aid the average American. People continue to slide into poverty, and as hunger increased in this country, even he agreed to cut food stamps, which hurts poor children most of all. Im supposed to be thrilled that he killed Osama Bin Laden? Im not, we should have taken him to trial, just like we did the Nazis after World War II. We can take Herman Goerring to trial but not Bin Laden? We have to basically give the rest of the world the finger and went in guns a blasting. Then we show final footage of a grey old Osama Bin Laden watching TV as an attempt to demoralize Al Qaeda. They probably understand the concept of getting older, and it proved in my mind that he should have been an easy capture. However, we wanted to show the world that we are unilateral in our decision making. At least he hasnt established landmark policies like Bill Clinton guaranteed to damage the middle class. The only reason the Clinton era seemed so great was there was actual trickle down from exploding stock markets as the Internet bubble created lots of pocket change...all of which was erased as that bubble burst leaving everyone poorer except for Wall Street. It doesnt appear that Obama has created something as damaging as NAFTA, Welfare Reform, Telecommunications Act of 1996, and repealing Glass Steagle. He has at least held back on the Keystone XL pipeline, but we must really thank activists for putting a halt to that...if that grassroots pressure wasnt there, we would have a pipeline. He does seem set to try to place a piece of landmark legislation that is far worse than NAFTA, that being the TPP. I would rate every administration from Jimmy Carter onward as a failure. Every administration since has adopted terrible economic policies each making the capitalism harsher and none helping labor.
