Bjp and rss milking votes from cow since decades. RSS-apex and Jansangh-apex (now BJP) were at the forefront of the demand for a nationwide law to ban cow slaughter. Even in 1990s till 2014, BJP used to promise that the day they get their PM< a nationwide ban on cow slaughter will comes within days. . Well,, in 1997, BJP had their PM< and they had a a new excuse that they dont have majority in Loksabha and have only 182 seats. And from 2004-2014, we heard same promise again. And now BJP has 2014 MPs in Loksabha and we have new excuse that BJP doesnt have majority in Rajyasabha. Well, BJP can call Joint Session and NDA has majority in Joint Session. But all that numbers game is aside. The fact is that NO legislation was even brought in Loksabha at all. . Now my stand is --- we must bad cow slaughter state by state using state level agitation, and NOT wait for regime change. National law is possible, but will be futile as police depts are with states. Also, states and ban export of cows from one state to another, and so states that cows of states that have banned slaughter will not get slaughtered in other states. . Congress and AAP have publicly cow slaughter. So while they are bad, at least we can accuse them of hypocrisy, I cant blame AAP MPs of not proposing private memnbers bill to end cow slaughter, as all 4 AAP MPs are supporters of cow slaughter, and so is AK and most AAPians. Most AAPians support cow sluaghter, otherwise they would NOT be staying in AAP. . All in BJP MPs have consumed tons of malai from cow milk. Biggest beneficiary of cow protection movement in India has been BJP MLAs and BJP MPs, and not cows !! Quite frankly, PETA people have saved more cows by promoting vegetarianism world wide and also in India, then BJP. But against all efforts, consumption of non vegetarian food is rising in India day by day, amongst all relgions, Hindus included, and all castes. Hindus dont eat cow meat, but as more and more Hindus eat fish, buffalo meat, chicken and goa meat, it pushes the prices of meat and so makes cow slaughter more profitable. . The solution I propose is to print law-drafts in Gazette that would take cow slaughter to zero, and also reduce animal slaughter in general. I have described these law drafts in rahulmehta / 301.htm (search on word cow). . And this can be done ONLY if 40 crore voters order their MPs via SMS to print these laws in Gazette. (for details, please see notes in about section of my profile). .And please dont waste time and hope than MPs, no matter which party they belong to, will ever pass anti cow slaughter laws no matter how many seats their party has. Economy doesnt favor ban on slaughter, and MPs after elected go by economy. , whatever it means.
