Black Iron Training Saturday, October 11, 2014 Phase 3 Week One/Day 6 Olympic Lifting/Make-up Day ________________________ If you are familiar with the Olympic lifts, and have access to the proper facilities and coaching, Saturdays can be a dedicated Olympic Lifting day. I recommend you keep the overall volume on the lower end, and avoid going higher than 80% for the remainder of this phase. Use this as an opportunity to drill technique and position while you focus on building limit strength. If youre unfamiliar with the Olympic lifts, dont have access to the proper facilities, or have no interest in doing them, then use this as a make-up day to complete some of the programming you may have missed during the week. You can also take this as an opportunity to add in some of your favorite movements that may have been absent in the programming. For example, a few people have asked about isolation work. This would be a perfect opportunity to do ISO accessory work if it pertains to your goals.
