Black folk complain about anything! Google currently has a picture of Harriet Tubman on its home page in honor of Black History Month. A few short years ago, this would not have been. February 1st would have just gone by just like any other day of the year - along with the other 27/28 days of February. Instead of being proud of a company representing Black heritage in a major way (they cater to the masses, regardless of race), my folk are sitting up here making jokes and criticizing the gesture. No, thats not Sam Jackson - thats Harriet Tubman, a Black woman who secured the freedoms of your ancestors. This black woman risked her life time and time again to save our people from the never-ending cycle of slavery. No, Google didnt HAVE to do it, but they made the executive decision to do it, and they made it happen. Stop worrying about the wrong things! Instead, lets worry about what we can do to save our people. Goodness.
