Black women are obtaining degrees at a high rate? Some black women are trying to paint this picture that black men are jealous of black womens education status and dont place any value on their education. I want you to consider something. As more black women obtain degrees, our youth is suffering. Why? Because our youth is no longer raised by momma. Men are impressed with your education to a certain degree. It shows that you are diligent and goal minded. However, they are not willing to give you a pass on taking care of home because of your career or education. When I asked my husband if I could go back to college to get my Masters, he said as long as I still do my job. Now, Im woman enough to admit that I did a poor job maintaining all of my roles at the time, but we pulled through. If this message hits home, I suggest that you reevaluate why you are having problems with men, and dont be do quick to blame it on your education.
