Bless Larry, he is my hero, I thought I knew everything about fossicking for gold, never found much, grew up in gold country, must be an expert, I have been coming to the Nundle area for a couple of years, found the odd spec here and there but nothing to write about Then Larry offered to take me out with him to look around a few spots and try to find some gold, I was a bit sceptical knowing everything already, so despite my wealth of knowledge off I go with Larry, we arrived at a spot that I thought looked hopeless with my vast experience, Larry out lined what we should do , so being a polite sort of bloke with a man with the local knowledge and experience , I kept my trap shut for once well blow me down as soon as we started Larry, asked me what was I doing, god help me, I thought, well to be honest it turns out, I knew nothing, didnt even know how to pan properly, now that not a bad admission from a bloke who knew the lot, And look what I found as soon as I used Larrys experience and knowledge GOLD !!!
