Bless us Lord, as we pray for our beautiful son Jonathan. You led our Jonathan home last Sunday, please let him know, as we pray for him we are blessed with the treasured memories & how his contagious laugh & smile will never be forgotten. Jonathan as a baby, our family & friends could see that you were a gift from God. I still treasure a note from our friend Ellen when she helped babysit you when you just a few weeks, she wrote the following; “Dear Jonathan, What a pleasure you are, it was so wonderful to meet you. To see the creation of two beautiful loving people, it lit a candle of hope in my heart for the future. I enjoyed sneaking in your room and watching you sleep so peacefully, wiggling your left hand every so often to grasp the bunny’s ear. It made me remember miracles, sunny days, blooming flowers and wonders of love, faith, & continuity. I hope to watch you grow and prosper in the cocoon of love your parents have made for you. Thank you for reminding me of the importance and freshness of life. Thank your parents for allowing me to share the day with you. Love Ellie” You were the most perfect child a parent could dream of, loving, patient, understanding, & loved everyone you met. At the age of 3, your maturity was that of a 30 year old. We agonized the moment we learnt of your diabetes, you were such a trooper, never complained on receiving 5 to 6 shots a day & getting your finger pricked before each shot. Your buddy-brother James showed you creative ways on how to flush lipstick, socks, toys & other odds & ends down the toilet. The world was not safe when the 2 of you were toddlers, childproofing was a joke. Both of you enjoyed starting up your own band by pulling pots & pans out of the kitchen cabinets and then become Interior Designers by decorating all the walls in our condo with permanent black marker while Dad & I slept. You loved your video games, at the young age of 3, you beat me at Mario brothers video game, so that is when the Video Gamer Madness started with you!. When you started school, I remember your 1st grade teacher telling me how impressed she was of you. So mature for your age, she said you were so diplomatic with your peers, had a flare with words & strongly felt you were going to be a great leader. You made us so proud with your grades & making us prouder with helping with Community work. We were so proud of you as you helped by babysitting your cousins, Robin & Michael, you had a passion to share your knowledge and loved helping them with their homework & tutoring your young friend Nick. You loved going over to Grandpa (Gramps) where you enjoyed his food & playing with his pets. You, James, & Christopher loved to go to his house and play because you always had fun & each visit was a new huge adventure. You cherished the ground Grandma Ellie walked on, she introduced you to your first McDonalds, Calamari, Capers & open your savings account. Once you were focused with College, we were so proud of your grades & dedication to your studies. You struggled as what you wanted to do; “Should I be a scientist, accountant, lawyer, or teacher?” You knew your passion was not in the restaurant industry but we knew you would not trade the world for all the friends you made at Dirty Nellie in Palatine & The Cheesecake Factory in Lincolnshire. I will never forget how nervous, excited, thrilled & blessed you felt to have the AWESOME opportunity to work at Lundbeck LLC in Deerfield. On your 2nd day there you had the confidence of someone who had worked there for at least 10 years. When you started work, you were STUNNED to have the awesome opportunity that Dr. Eric Floyd had created the pathway & the opportunity to work with Dr. Erik Eglite in the Compliance department. Every day you shared your sense of humor & love with everyone you encountered. You shared with me many times that it was a privilege to work wok with Judi Edwards. You respected & appreciated how she dropped everything to make time for you no matter how busy she was to help you with unexpended challenges. This new career opportunity gave you more time to spend with us on the weekend where we were already thinking of adventures we could do together. We miss you so much, Our brothers & sisters are agonizing the loss of our sweet, loving & compassionate young man, please send a down huge hug to help support all of us during this difficult time. I cannot begin to list all your family members; you will live forever in their hearts. They love you so much & treasure the memories that they have of you. With love, Grandpa Bernie, Grandma Ellie, Uncle Jim, Aunt Jill, Uncle Rob, Aunt Kelly, Uncle Chas, Aunt Mary, Uncle Ben, Aunt Kathy, Uncle Eugene, Aunt Christine, Uncle Joseph, Sadie-girl, Uncle Mike, Aunt Patty, Uncle Sean, Aunt Deedee, Uncle Barney, Aunt Becky, Uncle Bart, Aunt June, Uncle Beav, Aunt Maureen, Aunt Janice, Chico and Reese. Our love for you is unmeasurable. Please send your loving hug down on every full moon to us so we are embraced with your spirit, love, happiness & humor! We will see you soon Jon-O-Man! https://youtube/watch?v=y6Sxv-sUYtM
