Blessed Giving •It is more blessed to give than to receive. Acts 20:35 I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive. We are blessed when we give and we should always be willing to give when we are blessed by the labor of Gods ministers. 1Tim. 5:18 For the scripture saith, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer is worthy of his reward. •Though we work for money, we give for Gods blessings upon our money. Jobs, savings, etc. are not sure things. We dont trust in our wealth, ability to get wealth, or what we have, but we trust in God. Therefore, we should always give, not just to receive in return, but to live a blessed life in his total care and not our own abilities. Deut. 8:18 But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day. •We should help those in need, but not every needy person needs money. And we should not judge our giving by what we feel others have. Blessing people and doing things for others will always bless the giver. 2Cor. 9:6 ¶ But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. And giving to the work of Gods ministry not only blesses the giver, but helps others receive the truth of the word.
