Blessed are those who hunger and thirst (crave) for righteousness, for they will be filled. Matthew 5 Righteousness is a state of being acceptable to, and approved by, God. Blessed are those who find being acceptable to, and approved by, God a complete necessity; like food and water. Blessed are they who find this to be the ultimate goal. Blessed are they who know this is only accomplished through and under the blood of Jesus Christ. The desires for the things of this world will never satisfy us. When one really begins to hunger and thirst for righteousness, the appetite we once had for the world and its things will fade away… and then actually become repugnant to us.
