#Blizzardof2015 was not so much a blizzard for the NJ/PHL/PA or any of the southern mid atlantic region, to some it was merely a snow shower. So those can point the fingers, yes their is no one else to blame, but METS everywhere and even us who know the weather such as I. Listen, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, i wont say otherwise. Yes, i was riding with those who were putting out big numbers across the area. Completely failed and Im sorry to those majorly disappointed. Must realize that its just much more than computer models, its the weather and what it does. I can explain really what happened in simple terms by looking at the first image. Normally, when you get two pieces of energy to phase, their is momentum working upon the entire system. Their will always be a push on the entire storm because its simple physics. Coupled with the phase was a rare weather phenomenon that occurred over Central PA. Arrows pointing up was rising air, this resulted in sinking air over the region and we got caught up in the midst of it. Another big reason was the h5 low closed off at 2:15am 50 miles to late. This is still a beast no matter what anyone says and some should consider the true beauty of the beast. You all know that ive been ringing the alarms along with others about that this winter wasnt the winter like 2011-12 or anything mild, nope not at ALL! This is very much a backloaded winter and we have all of February and March (hints of even April) to go so no one lose hope here. Ive learned my lesson greatly! This was such a fantastic learning experience, its these storms that sting the most that you pick up the most knowledge from and now can be applied in the future. To those who did receive snow, good! I here for instance did receive over 6 and yes, its still snowing and will continue to do so over the next few hours ending west to east. Yes, i saw all the BUZZ about another storm next week. One thing i can tell you is that it WONT be of any clipper. NO, this is originating from the Gulf OF Mexico! That will be the next one to track and follow. Were in an active pattern and will be until at least the first week of February. It may seem we will get a visit from our friend the Polar Vortex next week so the cold is coming their is no doubt about it! To us snow geeks, life isnt always giving, sometimes you must appreciate what is given to you and live on. Always will be another snowstorm to track and this is why we have the good people of LWB on this awesome page.
