Blood brothers !. Day after day they were locked far away, From the light and the sight of the sun, Long before dawn they would leave this world, Before any new day had begun. Long days away, from the sun`s precious ray, They would work in the underground land, Where only the lamplight would shine them, And their being was in their own hand. Into the night with no sign of the light, That would signify evening was done, The miner did strain for the coal in that vein, Till all strength in his body was gone. Day after day till they sent him away, And destroyed all the pride that he had, Left to rot on the dole, killed all pride in his soul, Now this miner is bitter and sad. Night after night, he remembers the sight, Of the friends that he left in `his team`, All of them then, they were proud mining men, Devoted, and loyal, - `Supreme !`. Now at his rest he recalls of `the best`, Of his `buddies` his `mates` and his `friends`, And of partnerships forged on the anvil of hell, And the `Brothers`, whose blood he now blends !. Mick.
