Bloomberg Industries - Equity Research Analyst, Tokyo Job (Tokyo, JPN): Job Requisition Number:40853 The Role Bloomberg is seeking an experienced Research Analyst to join our proprietary global research product, Bloomberg Industries. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting analysis on a periodic and topical basis, authoring research for approximately forty companies within specific sectors that include Financials, Materials, Retail, Consumer Non-Retail, Healthcare, Energy, Utilities, Technology, Media, Telecom and Industrials. The analysis will be based on Bloombergs data sets, Bloomberg Industry data and analysis as well as company calls and announcements. The Responsibilities - Work closely with industry senior analysts to coordinate analysis of companies - Monitor and interpret major company developments and identify macro themes and trends affecting the industry - Manage earnings cycle, including previews and reviews - Collaborate with other research teams including Washington, Litigation, Credit and ESG for company specific and thematic analysis - Interact with investors, industry contacts, investor relations personnel, & senior management target companies - Work with Fundamentals & Economic Statistics teams to ensure data completeness and quality control for existing and new data sets of target companies - Develop & maintains relationships w/ internal departments & external market professionals The Qualifications - Bachelors degree or equivalent experience - CFA designation is preferred - 2-3+ years of Equity Research experience - Prior experience with advanced concepts, practices, & procedures of finance & accounting; experience interpreting financial statements & performing quantitative financial analysis - Strong writing skills are essential - Excellent oral communication and presentation skills - Fluency in Mandarin and/or Japanese and/or Korean is preferred - Demonstrable research and analytical skills - Strong organization skills and capable of handling multiple projects The Company Bloomberg, the global business and financial information and news leader, gives influential decision makers a critical edge by connecting them to a dynamic network of information, people and ideas.
