Bloomsbury Farm in Spotsylvania County, Virginia, ca 1780 ~♡~ This historic farmhouse, placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000, was torn down earlier this month. Its owner maintains that it was in such a state of disrepair as to make restoration impossible. Perhaps. But I am a little suspicious of motive after learning that it was sitting on a prime two acre parcel smack dab in the middle of an upscale subdivision built on land that used to be part of the farm.
