Bluethroat is a regular visitor to my backyard. I have been watching this bird from last three years. It comes in the month of september and stay in the backyard of my home till november. Its a plain brown colored bird with greyish plumage sizes around 12-15cm and has a blue necklace like band on its throat which give its name. Its very shy, highly sensitive bird, does not show up very often. I have always seen this bird flying very low, hiding in dense bushes. As per my obvervations, bluethroat preffers to stay on ground rather then trees, this may be because it feeds on small insects on ground. Comments and critics are welcomed.
