Blustery Winds! It’s been a windy Friday in the Inland - TopicsExpress

Blustery Winds! It’s been a windy Friday in the Inland Northwest thanks to a powerful Pacific storm that has been churning over us. This storm was packing fairly heavy precipitation and rain gauge totals range from around a tenth of an inch to a half inch of rain for the farm crops. This storm also generated fairly strong winds in the area. Ellensburg recorded wind gusts up to 32 mph, Walla Walla’s winds topped out at 31 mph. Pendletons winds maxed out at 41 mph. The highest gust in the Tri-Cities was 39 mph but the windiest place was the top of Rattlesnake Mountain where the weather station recorded gusts up to 49 mph. The storm is gradually weakening overnight and the winds will be coming down. By Saturday we will be back to 5 to 15 mph with gusts to 20. We will also have the possibility of showers in the mountains on Saturday. Have a Great Mother’s Day Weekend! Tim
