Blyth Structure Fire - 7 May 2014 Just before 12 today more than 20 SA Country Fire Service Firefighters from four appliances were responded to a structure fire on the corner of August Street and Moore Street Blyth in the states mid north after reports were made of an alarm sounding and smoke issuing from the roof of the property. On arrival crews quickly extinguished a small fire at the rear of the property, while crews wearing breathing apparatus worked to contain the fire in the roof space within 45 minutes. No one was at home the time the fire started, police have been called to investigate however the cause is not believed to be suspicious and dollar damage estimates have been set at approximately $50 000. SA Power Networks were also called to isolate the power to the property and SA Ambulance and SA Police were also on scene.
