On the way to Cuddalore Party Cadres Meet, I met members of Womens Self Help Groups. The initiative that was started and nutured by the DMK government has had a profound and positive effect on their lives. During my interaction with them, they expressed their issues and concerns and reiterated that with government support they can achieve much more. I request the officials at district and taluk levels to provide all assistance possible in ensuring the continued support of the SHGs and financial independence of Tamil Nadu women.
