BoK Tutors March 15, 2014 If you are going have great a week, you might as well begin it with St. Patrick’s Day. This is the week when spring begins, as well. What more could you want? You can wear green, and you can wish for green, too. We’re speaking of green buds on plants, new growth on trees, and the departure of Old Man Winter. While the weather can be a bit “iffy” in the month of March, we can’t help thinking about the great outdoors, light jackets giving way to shirts, and then the arrival of warm days that come and lead us into summer. Everyone has a favorite season, but almost everyone likes spring. The only problems are those allergies that show up for some. Sneezing and coughing isn’t much fun, but at least the daytime temperatures are bearable. This is the season to discover good books to read in quiet moments. Reading is fun, whether it is on paper (traditional), or “plastic” (electronically). What matters is finding good books. The obvious suggestions for sources are at your local bookstore, library or online. Everyone has a favorite author or two, and we’re sure you have yours, as well. Some like mysteries or techno-thrillers, others enjoy romance, science fiction and fantasies, as well as all the other genres that are available. The point is: Read! The ability to read and enjoy it is something very special. If that includes you, great! No matter what age you happen to be, sharing good books is a super way to stimulate conversation between family, friends and fellow workers. Books are wondrous things, indeed. Just like the planting of a seed. No one knows where they’ll lead. Put down that mouse and start to read!
