Board Chair Beth Lambert and Founder Karen Chelcun Schreiber were privileged to participate in an incredible day of advocacy in Washington D.C.. Humbled to be invited by phRMA to participate on panel by hosted by Dr. John Marshall from Georgetowns The Ruesch Center for the Cure of Gastrointestinal Cancers. In addition to meeting Dr. Marshall, we met some incredible people including Dr. Allen Melemed from Eli Lilly, Elizabeth Hoffler from Prevent Cancer, Michael Sapienza from Chris4Life. So grateful to have finally met Sharon Brigner of phRMA in person. She and her family have been affected by stomach cancer. There were also other wonderful medical professionals and representatives from Capitol Hill to discuss the role that public policy plays in cancer research and funding. The most powerful part of the day was the belief in the importance of COLLABORATION. Great to hear that word as a focal point. Cant wait to do our part to make this COLLABORATION a reality.
