Bob Guzzardi writes: Cruz Lee did have a clearly executed plan to fund government at current levels except a small segment of Obamacare. They lost but they had a plan. They planned well. They executed well. They lost because Senate Republican Leadership and Sen Republican Leader did not support them. And the House and Senate Republicans voted to fund Obamacare (which can only be interpreted to mean they are for Obamacare) and they voted to increase national debt as the Democrats wanted. In the end, the Republicans voted like Democrats; they voted for the Democratic policies and agenda. Rick Santorum was part of Republican Leadership and a Pro Life Big Government Statist who voted for Republicans Medicare D Prescription which set the stage for Obamacare and he voted for more debt and more spending putting government on trajectory toward Obamas massive expansion of government and the cost of government which The Forgotten Taxpayer is forced to pay. The Republicans had the House, the Senate and the Presidency from 2001 to 2007 and what happened to the size, scope and cost of government? Rick Santorum was participating every step of the way. And that was one primary reason that Rick Santorum lost his base - 797,000 fewer votes in 2006 than 2000- in 2006 and lost the 2006 election and why Republicans lost House and Senate in 2006. Bankrupting the Forgotten Taxpayer is not a winning plan.
